Hello everyone!
I am sorry that I haven't been able to get the site updated lately or post anything in the last month or so. I also apologize that I haven't been out to play and disc golf at Crystal Lakes, Landis Park, or the Stockton course.
At the end of September I lost my job at Wawa. I was unemployed and broke... thus my traveling to Vineland wasn't an option. That kept me from getting out as much as I wanted to.
On October 22nd I admitted myself to the hospital for Anxiety attacks. They said that my heart was pretty healthy and if that was why I was getting nervous to not worry. My Follow up with my doctor revealed that I had other issues to worry about. My Attacks went away after my hospital visit, but my blood work showed that I might have hypercalcemia(high calcium in the bloodstream). This causes Heart palpitations and other problems as well. I also lost a lot of weight in the week prior to my hospital visit and my doctor is still unsure as to why. He is considering that I most likely have a thyroid problem and that might have attributed to my higher anxiety levels, weight loss, and overall bad feeling.
Since then I have gotten a new job that I enjoy. I work as a manager at a Five Below Retail store and it is way less stressful then when I was running around at Wawa. I still don't feel well though. I still have irregular heart beats and palpitations, especially in the morning. I Most likely have a Hiatal Hernia, which is where your stomach pushes up through your diaphram. This Causes Incredible Discomfort in my left ribcage area as well as pain when I eat and sometimes pain when I don't eat. My stomach can get choked by my diaphram and lose bloodflow and that can be painful as well. I am still getting that checked out, but it seems that that is why my left ribcage area has hurt so much recently. I probably got created this hernia when I tore my left shoulder out in the summer falling off a roof and it just started getting worse and worse.
I am trying to get back to updating this forum and get our disc golf community back together as best as I can. I have been extremely exhausted in the last 2 weeks especially and I'm scheduled for a possible CAT scan and MRI to see if they can find out what is actually wrong with me. THe Loss of Nick and Rory moving to Arizona shrunk our DG community, but I hope that we can all still stay in contact and maybe get a stronger crowd in our area and get a good schedule going for next year.
I will try to get on here when I can and Tim and I are considering working on a few T-shirt ideas for Crystal Lakes DGC and the South Jersey Disc golf Scene in general. I would like to work on the schedule for next year, but might not have the time to do it. If anyoene else wants to work on it or wants to send me over the schedules for the other areas so we don't overlap I'll look at them so we can narrow down our possible dates.
Thank you all for reading this and I hope to see all you guys again soon!
