Fall Tags 2009???

Sundays at 1pm.

Anyone joining tags?? I told my new General Manager that Sunday is the only day off that I requested on my Availability worksheet since I started so I should have most Sundays off.

IF I can find all my old 2008 Tags we can just use them.

Should we have a tag fee again and also an acepot every day??

I will post up all the tag rounds from the summer so far....
As well as finish up posting the tags from Spring.....

In being busy I've also gotten a little lazy with this site/league so I want to at least get all the scores up and posted so we can determine who was the winner of the spring league.

Also.. I haven't taken any cash yet for the Summer League fees.. Fees are only $5 for this summer league, but we can't expect any big prizes coming from the remaining money at the end. Had i charged like $10-15 per league we probably would have a huge prize pool. We are still going to try and have the BBQ at the end of the summer League though.. Hopefully Brian will have it at his place because I live over 30mins from the course and both of us have pools!

I'm sorry I haven't made it to the last 2 tags...

First off.. It's my league. I can do whatever the hell I want.
Secondly... I was out of town at a music festival that I planned for 5 months in advance. I told everyone i would be there and our schedule has me removed from it on those dates...
thirdly.... I sprained my shoulder and can't play.. Thus i didn't go out last week either.

If anyone else has a problem with me missing 2 of my own leagues due to injury and Planned(more than a week in advanced) vacation then LET ME KNOW and i'll tell you to shove it up your ass!..

SJDGC Summer League 2008

The Summer League has already started in Vineland!!

League rounds will be held on Wednesday Nights at 5:30 and an optional league challenge day on Sundays depending on the weather/turnout.
This season is also only $5 per player (most charge $3 per round now). Ace pot is an additional $1 each round.
The tags the I designed and created held up pretty well for the spring season so I feel no need to spend the league money on professionally made tags. I would rather have the money go towards more prizes or the BBQ at the end of the summer season.

The first League Round was won by Jay T in a 3 hole playoff against Kris Jackson. I'll post the rest of the results shortly. Haven't had much time to modify this site and my web designer can't work on the site currently. Calling all web designers!! Work on my site!!!

SJDGC Spring league finished up pretty well and We already started out Summer League.. League is going to be another $5 for this season and I believe we are pushing the remaining league cash to this season to give bigger prizes out at the end.

I'll post the last 2 spring league tag results as well as the 1st Summer League Round we had (Jay T won in a 3 hole playoff).
Not sure what is going on with future tournaments... The schedule is pretty solid, but there was a problem with getting the approval to make the next tournament a PDGA or something. I'll keep everyone posted when I find more information. Sadly I make no money off this so I need to use my time towards my real jobs right now until I'm more financially secure.

Drew will not be able to make it out to any more rounds(except for saturday tournaments) So his tag has been forfeited.

We will be working on a points system as well to track the tag league for the rest of the season. That way we can determine who the overall winner will be. I am not sure how to do this, but I will ask anyone who has run tags or a points series to show me how to accomplish this. Thank you everyone for your patience while I wasn't able to really post up anything.
I won't be able to update much on the main site, but I will be able to post on the Forum as much as I want.

Spring Fling Tourney was also a Tag League Round. Weather held up all day and we've been getting lucky with the weather for league so far.

First Tag Day was very interesting to say the least. We had 6 players for the first day and the weather held up long enough for us to get in our league round. Jay Tiligadas is the first player to get the #1 tag.

I will be out Wednesday(4-9) taking money for the Spring Tags. THe original price for each season was $11, but since we are getting a late start i'm making the Spring league only $5. The rest of the year will be either $15 or $20 as I need to put a majority of the Fees into making the REAL plastic Tags. The temporary ones I made should last for a month or 2, but I don't want to use them all year.

So I wasn't able to make it out.. The weather flipped from saturday to sunday and I wasn't able to get a ride out in the wet weather.
I have off Wednesday this week so I'm going to try and be out to give out tags and such. I'm also going to try to make it out Sunday to start up tags. Sorry about this weekend.

Here are the actual tags. Not the greatest, but they will do. Should be sturdy and waterproof.

Sunday is looking gorgeous so far so If anyone wants to get out Around Noonish Sunday we can start some tags for the year.
I'll also be taking money at that time for the Tag League. I have decided to charge $5 for the rest of the spring season(which is short this year with our late start with tags) and $15 for the rest of the year(2 seasons-summer and fall). This would cover insurance, price of plastic tags, as well as prizes and a very probable party at the end of the summer season!.

I'd like to know what everyone thinks and I'll see you on the course Sunday. If you need to contact me hop on here or email me. You can try my cell, but Please leave a voicemail if I don't pick up.

I have some Temporary Tags made. Design printed onto Card Stock.. Front
and Back are the same. Stored in Top Loader and taped Closed. No way to
add any chain or anything to it so it will be like the old Landis Tags.
They should hold up until I can get money together to print the real
tags onto plastic and get them punched.

I will be Posting information about the upcoming SJDGC Spring League.

These are My Current Ideas for the league:
- $11 entry for each season; Full-year(all 3 tags) would be $28.
- seperate tag for each season
- Weekend day for beginning of spring league
- Weekend day and Week day possibilities for spring league after clock switch
- Monthlies (like philly) where you will be playing your tag, but will also be a tournament
- End of Season Final - some type of final tournament or a fun get together or something at the end to award the top tag holders
- Just like other Tag leagues you can always have your tag be challenged and/or challenge someone elses. IF they are playing and you are you can call a challenger and play for tags. I feel that challenges should be agreed on, but anyone holding a high tag should be on guard at all times . I'm not sure how to handle this yet, but with the integration of the website calendar and player schedules it will be easy to plan a challenge in advance.
- 3 seasonal tags this year: Spring: March-May; Summer- June-August; Fall- September-November. I think this will work out for pretty equal length seasons with an equal # of tournaments in each as well.

---I would like input from anyone concerning the League possibilities and my ideas on it. Let me know what would work best and things that should and shouldn't be done. I'm interested making 1 tag season, but i feel that offering 3 sperate seasons allows players that don't play all year from having to buy a full year tag. I will post up my tag ideas so far for the Spring League and possible start dates. I'll also have a date for a meeting to talk in person about SJDGC ideas as well as the current NJ series event and NJDGC.
