    November 14, 2009 SoVi

    I saw a sign up at SoVi for November 14 at 9am. It said PDGA C-Tier. Me being relatively new to the sport has no idea what C-Tier is? Could someone explain please?

    coursepro;
    I am a newcomer to the sport but would be interested in participating in the tournament. Should I assume that you will be playing from the yellow tees? I have played your course a few times but I always play #1 & #2 (and a few others) from the white tee because I don't have enough experience or discs to spare to be tossing them in the water. Thank you for your input and response.

    (SHOULD I HAVE TYPED THIS ALL IN CAPS?...

    What does CTPS stand for? And what are Bag tags? And what are player packages? AMs I assumed meant amateurs.

    CTP'S stand for 'Closest to the Pin'. Usually the tournament director will dictate a certain hole in which every player gets a crack at winning a prize if his/her tee shot is closest to the pin on their drive. Bag tags are a numbered tag that players duel out for bragging rights. For example: 7 players show up to play a tag match, each one has previously purchased a bag tag, the lowest score of the day gets the lowest tag number out of the bunch and so on. If there is a tie between players, the player with the lowest tag that came in gets to trump the others with the same score.

    The Vineland tournament director usually puts on a pretty good spread for the players and has lots of cool stuff. South Vineland Park is the best course in South Jersey hands down.

    Bring a buddy, your wife or girlfriend and have a great day of discin.
