  Upcoming Vineland/SJDGC Events (2010)

  Just wondering what Tournaments people would be interested in attending. We want to have some monthlies, a Tag league again, and at least 2 PDGA events next year.

  We have a few ideas on what tournies we'd like to have:
  1. Uncle Brian's Cleets to the Face Open *A Non-Violent Event*.
  - Either PDGA or nonPDGA. Regular event at SoVi
  2. Vineland Open
  - Just like the one we just had. Might keep it around the same date as well.
  - Definitely a PDGA event. It would be one of the last PDGA events in the area for that year.
  3. Philly Open Warm-up.
  - PDGA or Non.
  - Similar to the one we had in 2008. Played the weekend before the Philly Open. With more buzz about the course we might be able to get some of the big guns out for this one.
  4. Crosstown Classic
  - IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN A CROSSTOWN? I think this is still a great idea, but most people are coming down for SoVi. I think a Crosstown is great and we've always had a good time at these.
  5. SoVi Dubs
  - Some type of Doubles tournament.

  Anyone have any other ideas?? We would like to have some tourneys next year and have fun with them. Let me know what's on your mind!

  I know this is for the 2010 events, but would there be interest in a 2009 ice bowl thing in Dec? Or would that be an early 2010 type of thing? Just a thought....

  chances are it would be 2010. I would like to have another tournament this year, but icebowls are normally at the start of the year.
  Maybe we could have a december monthly or something.

  we should have a full schedule in 2010 as long as the madc comes through with insurance..iam in the process of contacting about promoter statues so we can order wholeslae discs and sell as a fund raiser maybe a discount for club members..ill post all info as soon as i get it..results will be in next mondays paper not nov 30 but next monday..i am also looking into the paper doing a press release article about the disc golf monthly show..well see..call me with ideas 856 982 5320

  this looks like a newer updated(BUT STILL UNOFFICIAL) schedule for next year.
  If Tim can get the insurance he is looking for we should be able to run as many events as we have time for
  this was the last brainstorming idea from Tim:

  Jan 16th monthly
  feb.21st momthly
  march 27th pdga c tier philly open warmup someone wins free entry to philly open
  April 18 monthly
  may 15th monthly
  June 20th monthly
  July 17th monthly
  august 22 monthly
  sept 18th monthly
  oct 17th vinelnd open warmup someone wins free entry vineland open
  November 6th vineland open
  dec 19th

  Events alternate between saturdays and sundays. This is bad for me because I normally get off sundays, but I do like the schedule so far..
  It doesn't differ too much from the one I posted on the other thread.

  Any ideas??

  i spoke with the guys who have been around crystal lakes for years and they say they have seen the water this high before and it wont go down till august if we r lucky..time to re configure the course..or at least make alt tees for the baskets that are under water..

  So are you guys doing the monthly on the 16th still? If so what time does it start and how much (if any) does it cost?

  Oh and just a side note... if anyone has a star destroyer 170 - 175g that they can part (aka sell) I'm in the market for one. Thanks.
